STAINLESS STEEL & HIGH-TEMPERATURE ALLOY MATERIALS
Stainless steels contain a minimum of 10.5% chromium by mass. This alloying element creates corrosion resistance which can be amplified by further increasing chromium content. Other alloying elements can be added to enhance other performance characteristics. Stainless steels are typically grouped into one of the following families: Austenitic, Ferritic, and Martensitic. These alloys typically contain a high percentage of nickel by mass. These materials offer increased strength and creep resistance in high temperature service.
